Stewiacke River Park
Stewiacke River Park is a quiet riverside picnic park in Stewiacke East in the Fundy Shore and Annapolis Valley region. The park is shaded by mature pine, hemlock and spruce trees, with two large picnic shelters with barbecues, a playground with accessible components and surfacing and a 1.5-km loop walking trail. Stewiacke River Park provides river access for fishing, swimming (unsupervised) and boating – a popular landing spot for canoeists! Change house facilities and accessible washroom are also on site.
Dennis Park is located in the heart of Stewiacke. The park is accompanied by a playground, basketball court, a gazebo, and a walking trail. Dennis Park is well known by the one shade tree that has been there for many of years. This tree has come to be known as the Tree of Wisdom. During the summer months there are organized activities for people of all ages that use the playground and the open space. During the winter months the park has an ice surface for people to use whenever they please. In summer of 2014, there was a new walking trail laid in the park. It is 600m long, which is great for acting as a track. 2 laps will get you 1.2k. Its a beautiful addition to Stewiacke. There is also free WIFI in the park for any one in the community :)
