Notice Of Passage : 

Town of Stewiacke – Public Hearing Notice & Notice of Special Council Meeting

Take notice, in accordance with Section 205 of the Municipal Government Act, that the Town Council will hold a public hearing to consider and, if deemed appropriate, approve the following:

1. Amendments to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law that will regulate new development in Stewiacke to manage new demand on the Town’s water treatment capacity and restrict subdivision in rural areas

and

1. a new standalone by-law that implements development charges for new residential development that uses Stewiacke’s public drinking water

This public hearing will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 6:15 p.m. at the Stewiacke Community Center, (111 NS-2, Stewiacke, NS B0N 2J0). The meeting will be broadcast online. The online meeting link can be found at www.Stewiacke.net.

At the public hearing, Council will consider oral and written representations from any interested persons. If you wish to make a formal presentation, please submit a written request to town@stewiacke.net no later than Monday June 2, 2025.

Also, the public is advised that a “Special Meeting Of Council” will be held immediacy following the end of the public hearing.
