The Town’s Planning Advisory Committee will hold a public meeting on three proposed amendments to the Municipal Planning Strategy. The purpose of the meeting is to receive comments from the public on the proposed amendments.
The proposed amendments are as follows:
Subdivision on Right-of-way to enable the subdivision of one lot from PID# 20253753 (located on Windcrest Avenue) using a right-of-way for access to a public street instead of the lot having frontage on a public street. Comments will be heard from 6:15 pm until 6:30 pm.
Special Commercial (C-3) ZoneTo change the zoning of PID # 20308193 (located on Kitchener Street just east of the school) from the Special Commercial (C-3) Zone to the General Residential (R-2) Zone. This property was zoned C-3 from R-2 a number of years ago to accommodate a proposal to construct a high-security data storage centre on the site. As this proposal was subsequently withdrawn the site should revert back to the R-2 Zone. Comments will be heard from 6:30 pm until 6:45 pm.
Park (P) ZoneTo change the zoning on PID # 20325577 from Rural Residential (R-4) to Park (P). This property was acquired by the Town and should now be zoned Park. Comments will be heard from 6:45 pm until 7:00 pm. If necessary more time will be provided for any or all proposed amendments.
