Mayor's Welcome
On behalf of Town Council, I would like to Officially Welcome you to the Town of Stewiacke’s web site. I hope you enjoy the information you were interested in during your visit to our site.
Our community is made up of many volunteers, who play a major role in assisting council, making the community a better place in which to live. Amongst those people, we have an extremely dedicated fire department service, which provides around the clock protection for our homes. Without dedicated volunteers, many communities would have a difficult time providing extra activities for its residents.
Stewiacke, by car, is approximately 15 minutes from Truro and 45 minutes from Halifax, and as such residents can enjoy a rural lifestyle, yet are minutes away from major shopping centers, movie theaters, and museums.
Stewiacke is known for its designation of being the Town halfway between the North Pole and the Equator. This designation along with the many other features, make our small Town a special place. As we move forward with our continued growth, Town beautification and road improvements, I am certain our Town will develop into one of the most impressive residential communities in the region.
